Horse Riding Lessons
Laren Safari Park offers horse riding lessons for all ages and skill levels.
Lessons start from age 6. Each lesson lasts approximately 30 minutes and is conducted as a one-on-one private lesson.
Our horse riding lessons are available every day except Mondays. Please make an appointment in advance.

Proper Horse Selection
The most suitable horse for a novice rider is one that is calm, well-trained, obedient and stable. For this, older horses are generally preferred.
First Lesson
Before riding, your trainer should explain how to approach the horse and what the horse’s equipment is.
Approaching the Horse
The horse is approached slowly without making sudden movements. Do not go behind the horse with the thought that it can throw a kick and always stand on the left side. Approaching the horse is one of the most important lessons of riding.
Our horses are trained and experienced horses. Lessons are given by giving safety precautions and information under the guidance and accompaniment of our equestrian instructor.
Basic Techniques
It is possible to learn the basic techniques of riding on the first ride. During this time, your equestrian instructor gives information about riding techniques.
A physically and mentally healthy rider should be able to control the horse by himself after 10 lessons. It means that the rider can move the horse at any point, stop it and direct it wherever he/she wants.
What to Wear ?
For beginners, comfortable leggings, sweatpants, or riding pants, and boots are ideal. For subsequent lessons, riding gloves, breeches, or a protective vest can be provided with the guidance of our instructor. For your safety, wearing a helmet is mandatory and will be provided by us. You can also use your own helmet if you prefer.
Basic Equipment
They are saddle, cap, bit, bridle, breastplate, felt, stirrup, column, fett and heel.
